I was craving Egg Drop Soup one night and whipped up this recipe which I actually fell in love with! The ginger paste and sesame seed oil really take it to the next level!! Plus, it's super easy and only takes about 5 minutes! What's better than that?!
INGREDIENTS
4 cups chicken broth
2 eggs
1 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp sesame seed oil
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
pinch of salt & pepper
green onions for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour chicken broth into a medium size sauce pan over high heat.
Whisk 2 eggs in a small bowl.
Once the chicken broth begins to boil, whisk in ginger paste, sesame seed oil, soy sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
Next, gradually pour in eggs while slowly stirring chicken broth with a fork.
Remove from heat.
Top with chopped green onions and more red pepper flakes if you like it spicy!
