Mmm, cheese crisps. These are one of our go-to snacks. You can eat them by themselves or, if they last long enough, pair them with your favorite salsa or dip. Plus, you can very easily make adjustments to get delicious Cheese Taco Shells!
*See very bottom for instructions on making Cheese Taco Shells.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup shredded cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper. *Aluminum foil will not work!
Evenly spread cheese onto baking sheet into a rectangle shape.
Bake for 15-18 minutes *The darker the cheese the crispier your crisps.
Cut using a pizza cutter or pull apart into chips sized pieces using your hands.
Goes great with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or as is.
*To make taco shells:
Dump a 1/2 cup of shredded cheese onto a parchment paper lined sheet pan and form cheese into a 5" - 6" circle. (We were able to fit two 6" taco shells on one sheet pan.)
Bake for 10-13 minutes, until cheese is bubbling.
Remove from oven and hang over a taco rack. (This is the taco rack we like!) OR you can use a large spoon/spatula propped on two upside down large cups to hang your cheese shell on to cool.
Enjoy!
