Being able to throw chicken in the Crockpot and leave it to cook is pretty genius! Until you forget to put the chicken in the Crockpot or turn it on... Now what? You're left to think of a different meal to make with the ingredients you have, run to the store to get ingredients, or resort to going out to eat.
But don't fret! The days of Crockpot chicken are over! With an Instant Pot you can simply toss your frozen chicken breasts in and have ready to eat chicken in no time!
INGREDIENTS
Chicken breasts
Chicken broth
INSTRUCTIONS
Add frozen chicken breasts to Instant Pot. We have this 8 qt Instant Pot. There is also a 6 qt Instant Pot.
Completely cover chicken breasts with chicken broth; make sure to meet the minimum liquid requirements, which according to Instant Pot is about a cup. If you would like to season your chicken, do it now.
Secure lid on Instant Pot and press the Poultry button.
When time is up, let pressure naturally release for 5 minutes then manually release the rest or you can just do the quick release. We've done both and have no preference so this is totally up to you! *Use caution during the manual release!*
Pro Tip for Quickly Shredded Chicken: Place chicken breasts into a large mixing bowl and mix using a hand mixer. *Couple of Ketos is not responsible for any flying chicken. ;)
Enjoy!
